Luxury resort in Kupari project presented
29 September 2008
Russian investors have offered Croatia a development project for a luxury tourist resort in Kupari, outside Dubrovnik, worth EUR 1 billion. The Russians have launched a wide lobbying campaign and Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader has received a letter by Sergey Chemezov of Russian Technologies, reports Vecernji list.
The resort project was presented in Zagreb last week. It includes the building of six 5* hotels, 122 luxury villas with average surface of 600 sqm, restaurants, cafes, a commercial area, gaming area, a yacht club, the Neverland entertainment park and staff facilities. The Russian local representative, ACM, says they are willing to negotiate it as part of an offset arrangement, but a “plain commercial” project is acceptable to them, as well.
