Big yacht port under construction in Sibenik

Croatian tourist company NCP Prgin and US group Island Capital (ICG), specialised in the implementation of big hotel projects, announced the beginning of the construction works of the first Mediterranean tourist port for big yachts. The port will be located near Sibenik and will have a docking capacity of 60 mega-yachts, at most 100 metres long. The total worth of the work, which could be finished in 2009, amounts to some EUR 20 million.
According to data announced by company BWA Yachting Croatia, representing international company Blue Waters Alliance (BWA), from the beginning of the year a total 37 of the world's 100 biggest mega-yachts have sailed the Adriatic sea and it is expected that the presence of luxury yachts in Croatia will increase between September and October.
