Increased demand for office space in Zagreb
02 September 2008
International real estate consulting firm Colliers concluded in its global study for the first half of 2008 that a global economic slowdown had a low impact on the office space market. After the office space demand dropped in 2007, the first half of 2008 showed a return of a growth trend in many countries.
According to Colliers, with the existing 940,000 square meters of office space in Zagreb, another 77,600 square meters is under construction at the moment. An increased demand for office space in Zagreb started in December 2007, when the growth rate reached 15 percent, reports Poslovni dvenvik.
Office space prices in Zagreb are higher than six months ago, because construction of most commercial buildings will not be completed this year, says Tomislav Greguric from King Sturge.
