Croatia 34th in the tourism and travel ranking

According to the latest research by the World Economic Forum (WEF) on the competitiveness of tourism and travel, Croatia was ranked 34th among the total of 130 countries. It improved its last year’s ranking by 4 places and remained ahead such destinations as Tunisia and United Arab Emirates. It is also ahead of new EU members from Central and Southeast Europe.

For the second straight year, Switzerland is the most competitive tourist country and is followed by Austria and Germany. The top 5 is completed by Australia and Spain, which managed to push out Iceland and the USA.

Croatia received the best ratings for the quality of human resources and cultural and national wealth (32nd). In the category of business environment and infrastructure, Croatia was ranked 38th and in legal regulations it significantly improved last year’s ranking, from 58th to 39th.
