New marina opened on Ugljan
26 June 2008
A new marina was opened in Preko on the island of Ugljan. The marina offers over 80 berths for boats up to 20 meters long and about 15 for super yachts up to 60 meters in length. British company Jupiter Adria, which got a 25-year concession from the Zadar County, invested EUR 3 million in building the marina.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Jupiter Adria CEO William Crawdson said this was one of the very few marinas with a waste water disposal system. He added that his company was focused on developing high-class tourism and the marina in Preko was their first such project in Croatia. Apart from the marina, Jupiter Adria will also build a top-class hotel in Preko, worth EUR 15 million.
