Nautical tourism brought Croatia EUR 700 million last year

Last year nautical tourism in Croatia generated the income of EUR 700 million, which is 10 percent of Croatia’s overall tourism income. Each year 96 nautical ports are visited by over 800,000 nautical tourists from all over the world and the growth of nautical tourism is on an average twice as high as the growth of conventional tourism.
Nautical tourists also spend twice as much as regular tourists (EUR 100 a day) and stay for about two weeks. The growth in this tourism segment was also reflected on charter business in Croatia, which generated HRK 420 million in registered income last year.
