Strong rise in nautical tourism

Croatias revenue from nautical tourism amounted to EUR 700 million in 2007, which is about 10% of the total Croatian tourism revenue.
The nautical tourism registered a double rise compared to the traditional tourism thanks to the pleasure boaters who spent a double amount per day (EUR 100) compared to the regular tourists.
Alongside with the growth of the nautical tourism, the charter offers also increased, booking revenue of EUR 58 million in 2007. Last year a total of 928 charter companies were registered in Croatia, up by 30% compared to 2006.
