Thermal water park opens in Daruvar

A thermal water park "Aquae Balissae", with an investment of almost EUR 5 million, was opened in Daruvar, a city with some 20,000 inhabitants in western Slavonia.
The water park covers an area of 60,000 square metres. The next stage of the project envisages the implementation of a wellness centre, a hotel and a golf camp.
The investment represents an important contribution to the tourism development of continental Croatia and of Daruvar, a city famous for its thermal baths and for the medical rehabilitation clinic.
The thermal baths of Daruvar (Daruvarske toplice) boast a tradition in the treatment and health prevention longer than two millennia. Nowadays they represent an advanced health facility with qualified personnel for a complete series of wellness and therapeutical treatments.
