Sparkassen Immobilien invests EUR 60m in residential property

29 January 2008

Austria's Sparkassen Immobilien AG is acquiring a residential property and two mixed-use buildings in Vienna's Inner City, together with an office block in Zagreb, for a total of some EUR 60 million. The purchase price of the individual properties was not disclosed.

Sparkassen Immobilien AG has recently acquired a centrally located office block in Zagreb. This state-of-the-art office property was completed in 2005. It has six floors with 10,260sqm of office space. The property is fully let, to long-term tenants such as IBM, Philip Morris, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Finnish embassy.

Another outstanding attraction is its excellent central position in the new financial district of Croatia's capital. With its easy access to one of Zagreb's main traffic arteries, its immediate vicinity to the Town Hall and its extremely high security standards, it meets the most exacting requirements of its international and Croatian tenants. The building has a parking garage with space for 120 cars, and also contains a café and a restaurant.
