New York Times recommends Hvar as one of top destinations

The New York Times selected 53 places for holidays in 2008 and positioned Hvar at the 11th place. The article described Hvar as the “Croatian St. Tropez”.
The town is becoming increasingly popular on the American market. Apart from regular visitors from Italy, Germany, Austria and the UK, the USA is one of the fastest growing markets, with a 55-percent rise in arrivals compared to 2006.
