New entrepreneurial zone to open near Zadar

A total of 283 companies have so far expressed their interest in investing in the new entrepreneurial area in Crno, near Zadar. The launching of the infrastructure works in the area is scheduled for the first quarter of 2008. The place will be the largest entrepreneurial area in the north of Dalmatia and it will extend over a 400 ha area state terrain near Zadar's airport, Gazenicas port, and the Zagreb-Split highway. According to forecasts of the Zadar county development agency, the entrepreneurial area will contribute to a 60% drop in the county's unemployment rate and a 58% rise in the county's profits. The arrival of the first investors in the new area is expected towards the middle of 2008. In the Zadar county at present a total of twelve entrepreneurial areas exist, four of which are operational.
