Slovenian company to build wellness centre

Local tourist company Aqua Aera Terra, owned by Slovenian Hosting, announced the upcoming construction of a health tourism complex Terme Hortus Croatiae located in Prelog, near the Croatian-Hungarian border.
The total value of the investment is around EUR 140 million and the project will be completed in two stages. The launch of the construction is scheduled for the end of 2009. The EUR 60 million first stage envisages the construction of two hotels, an aqua park and numerous sports centres.
According to the forecasts, 50% of the reception capacity will be occupied in the first year of operation. The second stage envisages the construction of a tourist ethno-village made of luxurious villas, apartments and golf courses. The centre is expected to attract visitors from Slovenia, Italy, Hungary, Germany and Austria.
